(3rd) and 4th of July

My birthday is the July 3rd which I have always loved. There are usually fireworks somewhere and it's always the same joke, "How nice of them to put on some fireworks for your birthday Kels!" I love it.

Mitch made my birthday so fun! My cute friend offered to babysit for us so we could go out. We went to our favorite restaurant which has the best pizza. Any other pizza is compared to this pizza and usually loses. Then we went back in time to high school by riding go carts and playing mini golf. So fun!

Mitch made my traditional birthday flag cake! He is seriously more talented than I am.

Later that week, we were going to go golfing with some friends but the wait was too long, so we ended up going to the same arcade/mini golfing/go cart place. {2 times in one week?} We had a ton of fun and after, Mitch jokingly thanked everyone for coming to my "friend party." It totally took me back in the day when there was a big difference between your friend party and your family party.

July 4th! We went to the Bellaire Parade. It was perfect for Rhett. He loved the bands, free candy, and balloons everywhere. It actually felt like a small town with everyone out on the streets watching the parade. I haven't felt that in Houston ever!

Classic 4th of July bbq and pool party...

Rhett LOVES watermelon...

We ended the night at Mitch's cousins up north. They were so sweet to have us and to put on such a fun firework show! They had the whole neighborhood out to see it.

Rhett paid the big bucks and got a suite for the show.

Gotta love the 4th! {and 3rd}
