Eliza Evelyn

Eliza Evelyn was born on October 30th, 2016 at 3:22 pm. Of course I was induced, 3 days late, like my other babies. They like to make me wait. She is perfect and the sweetest little baby. She is so easy and such a calm baby.

It was such a beautiful delivery and so special to have my sisters and mom there. Everything went pretty smoothly except for the part where my epidural wasn't keeping up with how fast I was dilating. That was painful. Luckily my mom was there to demand more medicine. Ha ha she was so funny telling the anesthesiologist what to do. Once the medicine kicked in, I only had to push once or twice and Eliza was here! I waited and waited to hear if it was a boy or girl (we waited to find out) and it took forever for Mitch to say. Finally I heard "it's a girl" and was so happy! I had felt like it was a girl most the pregnancy but didn't want to be too shocked if it was a boy. I really wanted a sister close for Ruby. They are so lucky!

My reaction when I heard it was a girl!! I absolutely loved all my nurses and of course my doc. He's the best.

I got to do skin to skin for a long time before they had to take her and weigh her and all that. It was so heavenly. Eliza was wide awake and just looked at me and Mitch. My mom and sisters held her and then my dad came and visited too. We facetimed with Rhett and Ruby at Grandma's and told them it was a girl! Rhett was so adorable and was like yes! I wanted a girl baby! He was honestly so sweet on the phone and was just dying to come see Eliza. They got to come later that night with Grandma and Grandpa.

7 lbs. 14 oz, 19 inches long- perfect sized baby. We all think she looks a lot like Ruby.

I am so blessed to have these women in my life. I don't know what I would do without them.

Watching these two meet their little sister was probably one of my favorite moments ever. One of those moments you just could relive over and over. Rhett and Ruby were so sweet and so excited to see her. Rhett held her and kissed her and held her some more. He stole her from anyone who was holding her. Ruby held her once but then just wanted to hang out with me. She took a little longer than Rhett to really warm up to Eliza. And then they jumped up on my hospital bed and stole my cookies and water. I loved it!

This picture cracks me up. Life with three kids!

Greg and Marissa were so sweet to help with Rhett and Ruby while they were staying at Grandma and Gtandpa's.

Mitch is the best husband- he always takes such good care of me and our babies. We are so lucky he's ours.

We headed home the next day so Mitch could be with the kids for Halloween. I don't love staying in the hospital so I was happy to go home. Halloween home alone with a very hungry newborn may not have been the best idea though...

We love this beautiful baby girl. Welcome home Eliza Evelyn!
