Love Month

I don't love February, but I do love Valentine's Day. So I guess that makes February ok. Even though my kids were sick most of January and February, these pictures remind me we were still able to fit some fun stuff in.

My cute dad got his girls tickets to see Mama Mia. Back row is pretty nice. Lots of standing room. you can still hear everything, and if any of the actors have annoying mannerisms, you don't even see them. So fun to be together!

Girls night out to celebrate Mindy's baby boy on the way! Any questions about dessert, Addie is the one to ask. I'm so lucky to have these women in my life!

We bought a bunch of desserts and split them all up. So yummy!

Minds is the cutest mom already and I can't wait to see her with 3! We are so lucky to go through motherhood together. All three of our kids are close in age.

Dottie's 3rd birthday party! Just for the girls. Donuts, dolls, pinata, presents, and the cutest favors.

Valentine's Day party at Nana's. Always a fun tradition.. dinner, games, dancing, photo booth, and cookie decorating.

Cutest cousins!

Rhett is always working on a project or cracking us up.

On Valentine's Day morning, I had the kids' and Mitch's surprises all ready, and Mitch took Ruby to find his. He knows where to get flowers- (he once spent 63$ on flowers for me and I said never again!) Trader Joe's has pretty and cheap flowers to make us all happy.

He gets flowers for all his girls, and then some for me from Rhett. We were pretty spoiled!

 Must have worked hard!

Mitch went to work and we got to meet up for dinner at my favorite burger place- Salt City! Mitch's parents were so cute to invite us. Rhett loves a good burger and was in heaven!

Ruby was loving hanging out with her cousin.
Hiking up Neff's with these crazies.

Ruby was loving walking the whole way back. She had her backpack packed with snacks and spare jammies (just in case).

Lots of visits with these cutest cousins.

And just when we thought spring was coming, we got another snow storm. Hiking up Millcreek with Mitch's brothers. So beautiful and so cold!

Eliza at 4 months

Eliza at 1 month

2 months

3 months

4 months

I LOVE newborns and all their snuggles and sweetness, but when Eliza started smiling and laughing, looking right at me and having her little cooing conversations back and forth, I remembered how much I love every stage of the first year. Every month seems like I get to know a little more of their personality. That's why I absolutely cherish staying home with my babies. They change so quickly! I wouldn't trade my time with them at home for anything.

Eliza has the sweetest demeanor. She has such bright happy eyes and a smile that comes as soon as you smile at her. She is so chunky and I love it! Rolls on rolls. She loves Rhett and Ruby and the attention they give her. But she is also a little nervous around them when they get hyper (and for good reason- they can get a little rough.) She loves her mama and daddy. She is a good snuggler. She loves patty cake and blowing bubbles and getting tickled. Liza"s favorite thing to do is splash in the bath!

She will sit and do tummy time for 5-10 minutes but hasn't figured rolling over yet. She loves laying on the play mat and reaching for the rings. She is definitely interested in food- leans forward as far as she can and just stares at the food. We will start solids soon, even though I would rather wait till 6 months just because of the mess!

She is a great sleeper at night and sleeps 7-10 hour stretches- thank you Eliza! She is still figuring out a good nap schedule and loves to cat nap. But with how loud our house is and how often we are on the go, I think that might just be our fault.

A big crew with all of us plus Tilley! It was a warm day (40 ha ha) so we had to go on a walk.

Ruby loves to do whatever I'm doing, which usually ends  up being a big mess. Love this little independent girly girl.

Ruby has become such a daddy's girl lately. Today I asked her if she wanted to go to Costco while Daddy stayed with Eliza and she said no, you can stay with Eliza and me and Daddy can go to Costco. I can't blame her, he's pretty great! They were cleaning her room and were finished so Mitch asked her if she wanted to go clean the kitchen. She quickly said no! Let's dance!

The best little rat tail. It's probably time I cut it. I can't bring myself to do it!

We are so lucky to have this little sweetheart in our family! I was so terrified to have 3 kids and even though it is pretty crazy and demanding, I love watching all three together. They learn so much from taking care of each other and having to share and compromise. We've never been happier!

Christmas 2016

Christmas Eve with the Petersons...we stopped by quickly to see the Wagstaff's and then ran over to the Petersons for the rest of the night. Everyone was loving holding Eliza.

Tackling Uncle Cory. Rhett loves playing with Navy and having Cooper in town so he can rough house all day!

Traditional Christmas Eve pizza

Marissa is such a fun aunt! She wrapped all the kids up in wrapping paper and they thought it was hilarious!

Christmas Morning 2016

Sleepy kiddos in their Christmas jammies...One of my favorite memories was Ruby and Rhett choosing out gifts for each other. Rubs is holding the chubby puppy Rhett chose out for her. He was so excited to give it to her. Ruby chose out a color changer Mater for Rhett and he loved it! They both chose out something small for Eliza too. I loved how excited they were about giving to each other!

Rhett asked Santa for a train for Christmas! Mitch hid it behind the tree and then had Rhett push the button on the remote. As it came around the corner he yelled "I wanted a train!!!"

Ruby got some doll clothes and a diaper bag which she loved.

Little Lizey's first Christmas. She is the sweetest baby and I'm loving her smiles.

Ruby asked for band aids from Santa and was so touched when he brought her some princess band aids and even a baby Diet Coke just for her. (She always asks for a little sip of mine.)

We went back over to the Peterson's  Christmas morning and opened up all of our gifts. These two got giant dinosaurs that walk and roar and they were in heaven! Lisa and Gary spoil us every year!

We had Christmas brunch at my mom and dad's and it was so beautiful. That window had the best view of the trees all covered in snow.

Eliza at 2 months old in her little Christmas dress.

BJ and Amanda stayed for a few days after Christmas so we had fun spending lots of time together, except for Mitch who was at the hospital every moment. On Mitch's day off, the boys played basketball in the morning and the girls went to lunch, pedicures, and a movie. So fun!

Christmas is the best! My kids made it so fun this year reading Christmas books together, acting out the nativity, finding the elf on the shelf every day, shopping for each other, and reminding me how important it is to appreciate little things.
